Clay Camp
Let’s get messy! During camp we will dive in and create imaginatively as well as connect with century old traditions and primitive beginnings. Since clay can be the most expressive and fundamentally diverse medium to explore, we will explore a wide variety of techniques including; hand-building, throwing, surface design and firing techniques. By using these methods we will take an exciting journey that will unfold personal interpretations of clay through musical instruments, sculpture, jewelry, functional forms and more!
June 16-20, 23-27(2 weeks), grades 6-12Theater Camp
Campers will be immersed in the creative world of theatrics. Actor/Playwright Jonathan Joy will lead students in theatre activities that emphasize the tools of the actor: imagination, cooperation, concentration, body, voice and expression. Performance opportunities abound! All students will write, direct and perform in their own plays. Students will also develop hands-on experiences with behind-the-scene activities such as lighting, sound, scenery and props. They will market their plays with poster designs and press releases.
