The Huntington Museum of Art will host a free opening reception on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 6 p.m. for a new exhibit titled Carpe Lucem: France in Super Blue – Seeing France in a Different Light. This exhibit of work by Gary Schubert is on view at HMA from November 4 through February 11, 2024.

Schubert is a multidisciplinary artist who works in traditional and non-traditional media and is known for blending approaches to artmaking. He finds freedom within self-imposed limitations and often asks, “What can my camera see that I can’t see?”
