From the prodigious collection of more than 250 artworks given to the Museum, 40 botanical prints have been thoughtfully selected for their beauty and their contributions to greater scientific understanding of our world. Many of these illustrations relate to plant species found in the Conservatory or on the Museum’s hiking trails.

A crowning jewel in the Museum's collection, this exhibit was thoughtfully curated between 1916 and 1965 by Arthur and Ruth Dayton. The Daywood Collection is an important collection that provides a snapshot of changing techniques, subject matter, and tastes during the first part of the 20th Century.

The Huntington Museum of Art is located at 2033 McCoy Road in Huntington, W.Va.

HMA hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays; and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. HMA is closed to the public on Mondays.

Free Tuesdays at HMA are generously presented by the City of Huntington Mayor’s Council for the Arts.

Together, the 15 silkscreen prints in Bill of Rights are a graphic statement of Levy’s personal convictions as an artist and an engaged citizen. With fresh perspective and clever manipulation of the formal elements of the American flag, he calls attention to the importance of each amendment in this founding document – though two amendments, the first and the fifth, inspired more than one design.

Plant Conservatory

Home to West Virginia’s only plant conservatory, our mission to cultivate the appreciation of nature really blooms inside the museum among the species of hundreds of beautiful, agricultural, and exotic plants.

Hiking Trails

Our six hiking trails are well-marked and maintained, covering over 40 acres of woodland hillside on various inclines that lead to rich gardens, beautiful views, and exploration of the art of nature just outside of our doors.
