HIKING TRAILS
EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS
The Teubert Foundation Sensory Trail is closed temporarily as work is taking place on an improvement project to the trail. We will continue to share updates on this project.
This improvement project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Wing 2 Wing Foundation, and The James H. and Alice Teubert Charitable Trust.
The Museum’s property includes more than 40 acres of hillside that is retained in its natural woodland state. This is where you’ll find our nature trail – a well-marked, maintained trail system approximately one mile in length and composed of six trails including the Teubert Foundation Sensory Trail just beyond the Steelman Butterfly Garden. The trail has a variety of inclines, from nearly flat to gently sloping to steep. If you are part of an organization, our trained nature docent volunteers will lead your group on active, informative trail tours. Nature trail tours last approximately 90 minutes, and are available throughout the year, weather permitting.
