Huntington Museum of Art Docent Fred Almeida will lead a free guided tour of the new exhibit titled Depth of Feeling: Photographic Images from the Permanent Collection on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at 7 p.m. Light refreshments follow the tour. This event is part of the 4th Tuesday Tour Series at HMA.
This exhibit, which remains on view at HMA through July 2, 2023, will feature photographs by Carrie Mae Weems and Sandy Skoglund, among others.
“We are pleased to present a wide-ranging group of photographic images from our permanent collection in this exhibit,” said HMA Senior Curator/Exhibition Designer John Farley. “ ‘Depth of Feeling’ features more than 25 works curated from our holdings, including highlights by artists such as Ansel Adams, Romare Bearden, Willie Cole, Jerry Uelsmann, and Maggie Taylor.”
Depth of Feeling: Photographic Images from the Permanent Collection is presented with support from The Isabelle Gwynn and Robert Daine Exhibition Endowment.
This program is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
