The Huntington Museum of Art will offer free admission from Tuesday, Feb. 11, through Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, and from Tuesday, Feb. 25, through Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. HMA will be closed to the public from Feb. 17 through Feb. 24, in preparation for the Museum Ball Presented by Marshall Health Network at HMA on Feb. 22 from 6 to 11 p.m.
From Feb. 11-16 & Feb. 25-28, visitors to HMA can view the C. Fred Edwards Conservatory of tropical and subtropical plants; the Touma Near Eastern Gallery of art and artifacts; the Herman P. Dean Collection of Antique Firearms; and the Museum Store, which features work by regional artists and more. Weather permitting, the Nature Trail System at HMA, with the exception of the Sensory Trail, which is under construction, will remain open as well.
“Because some of our exhibition galleries will be closed to install and deinstall the Museum Ball, we are offering free admission during this time to visitors, who can enjoy seeing the C. Fred Edwards Conservatory and the art and artifacts that remain on view,” said Mollie Ashworth, HMA Director of Guest Services/Museum Store Manager.
HMA will be closed to the public from Feb. 17 through Feb. 24, 2025, as the Museum is made ready for the Museum Ball Presented by Marshall Health Network on Feb. 22. The event decorations will be deinstalled on Feb. 23. HMA is regularly closed to the public on Mondays and offers free general admission on Tuesdays when hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free Tuesdays at HMA are generously presented by the City of Huntington Mayor’s Council for the Arts.
Also, there will be no Saturday KidsArt on Feb. 22 because of the Museum Ball. Saturday KidsArt is a weekly art activity designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Saturday KidsArt is free thanks to the generous support of Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
The Museum Ball is a major fundraiser for the Huntington Museum of Art. Money raised by the Museum Ball goes toward general operating expenses. Guest tickets are $300 per person and are limited. For more information or to inquire about guest tickets, contact Jennifer Wheeler at (304) 529-2701, Ext. 306. No refunds.
HMA is fully accessible.
